CHOCOLATE MAKING 

Well suited for birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate team building, groups of friends, families, or bridal showers, in our chocolate making class, your private group - of up to 18 - will work together in making their very own bars of chocolate from scratch.  Starting with single-origin ground nibs, sugar, and cocoa butter - over the course of two hours - you’ll take the journey of refining these ingredients into molten chocolate, where you’ll then hand temper the chocolate using a marble slab, cast your chocolate into bar molds, and wrap the bars yourselves.

 

This road to a hands-on crash course in chocolate making includes a destination of a homemade take-home bar of chocolate. Along the way, you’ll embark on an expedition of:

  • Chocolate making with a modular mobile chocolate making lab*

  • Chocolate making education, with an emphasis on the aspects relevant to the particular class

  • Adding inclusion ingredients (e.g. nibs, almonds, sprinkles, sea salt, etc.) to tempered bars, upon request and availability

  • Tempering and wrapping your bar(s) to take home

    *Attendees will work as a group to refine chocolate and will then temper their finished chocolate bars; up to 9 individuals can work in a group and this class accommodates up to 18

    **Due to inherent time constraints of the class, the bar will not be entirely refined, though it will be more than refined enough to temper and enjoy

Chocolate making classes start at $50 per person with a $150 minimum in the Big Bear Area. A class size 6 attendees - or a $300 minimum - is required throughout Southern California, and this class can accommodate up to 25 attendees.
